I have always been a big fan of MovableType and have followed Six Apart since they displaced Blogger as the “it” web logging tool. I don’t remember when I switched to WordPress, but it has been years. Since then Six Apart have made some very creative moves. Looking at Six Apart’s website is like looking into the future of Web based publishing and media management.

I saw this piece on the Austinist about a development 15 minutes east of Austin that was centered around a recording facility.

Seems like a questionable plan until I noticed the heavy’s on the team page. Rupert Neve lives about an hour west of this proposed site.

Looks like the American Idol juggernaut is looking for songs. I read the disclaimer but I can’t imagine that too many people are going to be willing to just had over “All Media” rights? I might be mis interpreting the “disclaimer” but I take it to mean that as soon as you upload your file, Fox can do whatever, whenever, forever.
